The style of Sean Strickland has proven to be a very difficult puzzle for most fighters to try and solve. His defensive shell, weapons at range and constant pressure make him hard to hit and that makes him very effective in five-round fights. UFC 302 may not have been his best performance but Paulo Costa was still unable to land many effective strikes on the former champion. Luke Rockhold believes that the key to fighting Strickland is to keep going for different targets and to mix in level changes to stop him from blocking everything. The former UFC middleweight champion said on the Jaxxon Podcast that he would happily come back to the UFC to face Strickland after being so confident that he knows how to break down his game. After explaining exactly how he would land on Strickland's chin, Rockhold also spoke about personally disliking 'Tarzan's character.
